Tires

Tires are consired as setup parameter and these are not part of the setup sheet on purpose. The tire sets change relatively often and tires have their own run specific parameters on certain classes like additive time and amount.

Parent

Tires have multiple parents in the data model but most important one is Tire Model. Unless the tire model is created in global assets, then you can’t create your personal tire sets

Tires are also linked to runs where you can define which tires are used in what run. This will allow you to track the mileage or amount of runs per set. Not to mention the setup analytics when you tire information available in the setup change matrix.

Target

Create new tire set for every physical pair or set you have. Manager will give you an ID after you create the tire set, then mark that ID to the wheels so you can easily track the sets in the pits.

Create new tires

1. Select from New → Tire set and this will open a form to create tires.

2. Select Car model you creating the tire set for. List will show only car models you have. This will filter the tire model and compound list to correct tire models.

3. Select Tire model and Compound.

4. Add more information with optional fields. You have text fields for insert, wheel and generic notes.

5. Click Save
