Get started
If you are new to Testlogger, then Check out the TestLogger concept and tool overview before starting!
TestLogger Manager can be a bit overwhelming at start, but after inputing same base data you will quite quickly start to get hold of how to use it efficiently. Here are some first steps you need to do.
Check your settings
Check that you have you have name, timezone, and other settings configured correctly in your profile. You can also switch to dark mode from settings.
Create a car
Before inputting any data, you need to create a car. You should create a car in Manager for each physical car you have. If the car model is missing, you propose new ones as well. Remember to put transponder ID to timing ID to enable lap time import.
Create starting setup
After you have your first car created, you can create a starting setup for it. This is the initial setup of your car that you will use for your first session.
Create track
To be able to log your runs, you need to have a track. In best case, somebody has already created the track for you but if the track is not existing you can create a track for your first session. Tracks are considered as global assets so all users can use them.
Create session
Session defines where, when and who will be driving the car. One session groups runs together and one session can have only car defined. Session is the first tool to analyse your performance as it will summarize your runs, setup changes, lap times, etc.
Create run
A run is the very core of TL Manager. Single run defines who was driving, what track, what car, what setup and what weather conditions were present during the run. You also write feedback, import lap times used tire sets and other data.
Start logging data
Now you have your first car, session, run and setup created. You can start logging data for your runs and improving your performance by analyzing your comments against setup changes etc.
As next step, you can read the definition of different object types and this will help you understand even more how Manager works. See Object types
